D-link Xtreme N PCI card not in N mode?

I have a D-Link Xtreme N wireless card for my laptop and a D-Link draft N compliant router but when I connect to the router and look at the wireless it says the laptop is connected and running at g speeds, not N speeds, how do I make it go to N mode? I tried [...] http://bit.ly/nf2o2b
